The University of Minho joined the Erasmus+ Education and Training National Agency and is one of the higher education institutions that wants to contribute to reducing the suffering of young students, professors and researchers who see their academic career interrupted for a period whose duration cannot be foreseen.
The University of Minho is available to welcome students who will be able to enter their study cycles and complete their degrees in Portugal, as well as teachers and researchers so they can continue their work here.
The current legal framework already includes students in an emergency situation for humanitarian reasons and provides for the granting of scholarships by the Portuguese State to ensure the payment of tuition fees and means of subsistence.
Applications must be submitted directly to higher education institutions or through platforms gathering the available offer, such as the Global Platform for Syrian Students.
